McDaniel Family Dental

Dr. Nikita McDaniel

Experiencing firsthand the life-changing power a healthy, confident smile can give you, Dr. McDaniel is dedicated to establishing long-lasting relationships with her patients where she can encourage you on your path toward excellent oral health. By creating an atmosphere of trust and understanding, patients of all ages appreciate Dr. McDaniel’s gentle, kind, and caring approach to dentistry. 

Dr. McDaniel received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Louis University before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, she attended a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program, where she received advanced training in oral surgery, implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and complex restorative care. As a lifelong learner, she spends numerous hours each year furthering her dental education – she is a Dawson Academy Scholar, is Invisalign certified and has had training in laser treatments. Dr. McDaniel is a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Greater Kansas City Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry. 

Dr. McDaniel has worked at this office since 2018 and became the proud owner in 2022. Her goal is to continue Dr. Alan Foster’s legacy of providing high-quality dentistry to the Blue Springs community in a warm and caring environment. Outside the office, she finds joy in traveling to new places and spending time with her husband, Josh, and son, Navi.

Dr. Rebecca Spencer

Dr. Spencer has always been drawn to healthcare and being a part of helping people heal. She sees herself as a member of a patient’s healthcare team and strives to help you achieve your health goals. By taking the time to provide you with the best care possible, she is well-regarded for her thoroughness and comprehensive approach to oral health. Patients of Dr. Spencer are fortunate to receive state-of-the-art dental care as she is an avid participant in continuing dental education as a Dawson Academy Scholar and a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. 

Dr. Spencer participated in a two-year continuum with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Greater Kansas City Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and University Study Club. Dr. Spencer received her bachelors in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Missouri-Columbia before receiving her doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s School of Dentistry. 

Thanks to her two beautiful young boys, she is well-versed in scatological humor and is known to enjoy (and quote) slapstick comedies and musicals. Outside of spending time with her sons, she enjoys listening to podcasts, practicing yoga, CrossFit, jogging, and drinking coffee. She is looking to travel more in the future and recently went skydiving!

Dr. Hiep Huynh

Dr. Huynh believes it is her duty and privilege to stay on top of her craft to provide her patients with the best care she can and the outstanding care they deserve. She engages in quality continuing dental education to help her patients keep their teeth healthy for a lifetime. She loves listening to a patient’s life story, interests, and recent adventures. Don’t be surprised if many of your conversations end up being about food because Dr. Huynh is a self-admitted, colossal foodie.

Dr. Huynh moved to Independence, MO from Vietnam at the age of nine. She loved school and finished first in her class at William Chrisman High School. She went on to major in Psychology and Biology at MU before receiving her dental degree from UMKC-School of Dentistry. Always striving to be the best version of herself, she shifted to Ann Arbor to complete her Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Michigan.

Life is different for her now, with two young kids. She embraces sleeping in and snuggling with the kiddos until they no longer want to (which she hopes will be a long way away). She loves creating unforgettable memories with them, from doing arts and crafts projects to singing songs while practicing self-care to having new adventures by traveling to incredible destinations. Her daughter and son keep her on her toes, making her feel mentally young yet physically old. She wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m with the front desk team and have been working at McDaniel Family Dental for over 25 years. I have been working in the dental field since I was 18 years old; the best part is being able to help people feel better about themselves and seeing them get the care they deserve. I really love my job and the people I work with every day.

Ashley

I have been working on the front desk team at McDaniel Family Dental for 15 years. My favorite part of working at McDaniel Family Dental is getting to know and helping our patients. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Robin

I have been working at McDaniel Family Dental for over 20 years and have been in the dental field for over 30 years! I love working at McDaniel Family Dental because my co-workers and our patients are amazing. I also really enjoy working with numbers! Outside of work, you can find me reading, watching movies, trying new recipes, and hanging out with family, friends, and our four-legged kids!

Taylor

I have been working at McDaniel Family Dental for a few years, and I love it! I work with the front desk team and enjoy getting to interact with and help my team and our patients. I love spending time with my family, and in my free time, I enjoy watching football and going shopping!

Jamie

I am new to the Front Office team at McDaniel Family Dental. My favorite part of the job is working as a team to help patients achieve their dental goals while maximizing their benefits. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my husband and spending time with my 4 kids and 3 grandkids either at the lake, or at one of their sporting events.

Kara

I started in the dental field when I was 19 when the office was Foster Dental Care. I always knew I wanted to be in the dental field; I dressed up as a tooth for Halloween when I was seven. I spend time with my family when I’m not at the office. I have an amazing son, Kai, and a wonderful husband. We love to go on adventures, see new parks, and go to events in the area.

Maria

I have been working at McDaniel Family Dental for almost 15 years as a Dental Assistant. The best part of my job is helping patients get healthy and building relationships with them. In my free time, I like to hang out with my family, I have five-year-old twins! I also like going to the lake with friends, swimming, and riding bikes.

Wendy

I have been working at McDaniel Family Dental for over 5 years. I have 26 years of experience as a Dental Assistant in orthodontics, pediatric, and general dentistry. My favorite part about working here is seeing a patient’s reaction when you give them their smile back.

McKenna

I have been at McDaniel Family Dental for a few years and I’m really enjoying working here! I attended an Accelerated Dental Academy where I became a Dental Assistant. I really like interacting with so many patients from all walks of life. When I’m not at work, I spend time with my family, go shopping, enjoy watching Netflix, and I love to go swimming.

Allison

I have been working at McDaniel Family Dental for six years as a Dental Hygienist. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from UMKC. I enjoy working at McDaniel Family Dental because I love building relationships with my patients, seeing them routinely, and helping them understand the importance of maintaining good oral health.

I have been a Dental Hygienist at McDaniel Family Dental since 2017, and I love it! I graduated from the UMKC School of Dentistry in 2015. I graduated high school right up the street from McDaniel Family Dental at Blue Springs High School (Go Wildcats!). Working at McDaniel Family Dental is great because I get to know and see all my amazing patients and teach them how to keep their mouths healthy. More about me, I’m a crazy cat lady, soccer player, world traveler, and lover of sweets, and I floss daily!

Terrica

I have been working as a Hygiene Assistant at McDaniel Family Dental since 2018. I really enjoy working with such great team members who strive to give our patients the best care in a great environment. In my free time, I like shopping, watching movies, and spending time with my family.

Diana

I have just joined the team and couldn’t be more excited! I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Wichita State University (Go Shockers) and followed Hygiene School at UMKC. My favorite part of working at McDaniel Family Dental is helping my patients achieve their dental goals and getting to know their families. I am adventurous and love traveling, scuba diving, and skydiving. Fun fact about me, I just got married earlier this year in April!

Jessica

I have been working for McDaniel Family Dental since 2021 and love building relationships with my wonderful patients. I have been a dental hygienist since 2017, but I have been in the dental field since 2011. Outside of work, I really enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and son. I enjoy working out, shopping, and also hanging out with our two dogs Chloe and Ella!
